Train Time: No. 8
Today, it’s the 4:50 bound for Homewood.
The whole point of this “Train Time” is to write about something that stands out in my day, while on the train, using my phone, before I get off the train preferably.
Well:
Sometimes the dominant thing is my health; but I don’t want this to turn into the DaFaDa whine blog… so no, not that.
Sometimes, I am hopefully obsessed with my wife, and how absolutely and completely…
Beautiful she is and how, after a 35 years she still “stirs my man-hood” in a way that traditionally only younger, non-granny women can do…
But that would get into details that I am not comfortable sharing with the general public. And besides, some of my kids read this and I would not want to freak them out any more than usual.
So today, that leaves me with only one possible option. Today: Politics
This morning I saw most of an interview with Hillary Clinton on the View recorded sometime about a month ago I believe, when she was working her way through New York in the primary.
I then saw a recording of Mr. Trump discussing his promised donation to some veteran’s charity that he had promised a couple months ago but had yet to deliver on.
After careful consideration of the two most prominent candidates, viewed in their natural habitats, I have come to the following conclusion:
WE ARE DOOMED…
On one hand we have the “same ol same ol” candidate. This one promises 4 to 8 more years of the same-ol-stuff, which if you have been paying attention does not seem to be good enough for the average American.
Trust me: I do not support anarchy, but I fear that it will slowly arrive weather or not we push for it because the people have had it and are ready for a change.
Then, on the other hand, we have the spokesperson for anarchy who with every breath seems determined to offend an annoy as many people as possible while at the same time working his followers into such a rakes riotous disorder that they leave destruction in their wake.
Again…
I too am ready for change; as long as it does not involve rioting in the streets like a 24-7 version of “The Purge”.
This countries’ politics needs a bit more of the very thing my diet needs:
A bit more balance, with an overtone of roughage to allow the… CRAP… to pass through and out a bit quicker.
