North and South Korea

A collective sigh of relief …A tale of the fabulous four

At the risk of being disrespectful to all those who have suffered this week as a result of the Boston marathon bombing, this article is not about the relief this country feels because, for now at least, the ordeal is over. Although this is an important event and is worthy of all the press and the attention it gets, I am here today to discuss another global threat that we all will be relieved of, for at least the next five days.

The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, who has been threatening the world with nuclear annihilation for several months now will not have the power or the will to do much of anything threatening, at least for the next five days or so. In fact, if you have been following this story and listening to all the rhetoric this young leader has been spewing, you will know that he has been making threats for some time, sounding all big and tough and fearless, without much action to back up his words.

This sudden state of incapability on the part of North Korea, their military and leadership, is partially due to the presence of a powerful force that has been residing in South Korea for some months now. And the fact that we will have five days of complete freedom from tyranny is due to the fact that this powerful force that is present in South Korea will be expanding by a factor of three during this period of time.

What is this powerful force you ask? What on God’s earth could possibly stop it entire country from waging war on the rest of the world? And why do we only get a complete break for the next five days?

Well my friends, the answer to these questions are both simple and complex, both main stream and logical yet mystical and mysterious. For you see, I am speaking of one of the greatest creations ever put on this earth. This is a being that has both realized and untapped powers. This is an individual that is both beautiful to behold and yet by a mere glance can freeze your blood and melt your heart. She is a wonder to behold, a force to be reckoned with, a voice that will be heard and will not be stilled. She is possessed by emotion and passion in every sense of the word, and yet is the picture of self-control and focus.

Throughout the millennia, this breed of humans has been called many things. Some examples are: Rusty, flame brain, fireball, red, carrot top, carrot bottom, ginger, blaze, Testarossa and Peppermint Patty. I am speaking of course of that rare and alluring breed of human known as the redhead; and in this case not just any redhead but the female of the breed.

Now that you’ve reached this part of my presentation those of you who don’t know any better will be saying to yourself… “Seriously”.

“This is the great force you’ve been speaking of?”

Well, all I can offer in response is… Unless you’ve experienced it, you don’t know the true power of the redhead.

First of all, by design the redheaded human female is the most beautiful of God’s creations. When one walks into a room, they command attention – not because they are selfish or self-centered, but because their mere presence draws people to them. Once you are drawn in their beauty, personality, and sense of self does the rest and seem limitless. At least in my experience, you find yourself captivated by the mere fact that they’re willing to even share their time with you. Get them talking, and you will find them to be knowledgeable, well-versed, and even passionate about the things that they care about the most. And as stated before, although they have a great sense of self – they are aware of whom they are, what they are and what forces they can impose upon those around them – my experience suggests that their passions lie mainly in the things and the people around them. They are compassionate towards the other person who is in need. They are filled with loathing and hatred towards that which is ugly, mean, and thoughtless. They are diligent, hard-working, and have some source of strength determination and drive that I can only say must be heaven sent because it at times seems endless and inexhaustible.

They are also a paradox.

They are beautiful to behold, and yet deadly when crossed.

They are sweet and innocent, yet the worldly and experienced.

As they command a room with their presence, they command your heart with a look, your time energy and purpose with the word, and your breath with an embrace. And what’s more, you give all of this willingly just for the chance to stand next to them, to be with them, and to be a part of their lives.

It could be that I’m just smitten or slightly bias because I have so many of them in my life. Even if that were so however, I am a free man able to make my own choices and choose my own fate and yet I have willingly chosen to be a part of their lives. Even this speaks to the power of being possessed by their presence. Any way you look at it, they are a force to be reckoned with, a power in the universe that somehow got an extra helping of all that it takes to make the world spin around.

As for the North Korean situation, my daughter’s presence in South Korea – the focus of her power being so close to a source of the evil such as this – has helped to control and subdue the negative energies from the North. But regardless of her natural born strengths, she is only one.

But help is on the way.

My wife and my mother-in-law left Saturday to spend the week in South Korea with my daughter. Once they arrive, three of the most powerful, beautiful and courageous redheads I have ever known will all be in South Korea, all at the same time. Why I could almost feel the earth go a little off kilter as they made their Way West.

Oh North Koreans beware! If you thought the power of one was overwhelming, wait till you feel the full force of the power of three. With three prominent and powerful redheads in country there is no way that Kim Jong Un will even be able to lift a finger in any direction towards the South. If he even dares, if he even tries he will find his finger drooping and his arm becoming limp and will feel an overpowering urge to stand in the nearest corner and contemplate his shortcomings.

Of course, as the title of this piece suggests, we’re talking about the fabulous four and yet I have only mentioned three. Well in this case there is only three of my favorite redheads trekking to South Korea. The fourth and quite possibly the most influential in my young adult life is not traveling with them at this time and instead is residing comfortably in Elgin where she lives. Yes I have to admit, my mother is one of the fabulous four, and quite possibly the original redhead who in all honesty probably influenced my fascination with redheads. After all, take a look at what I’ve gotten myself into: my mother is a redhead, my wife is redhead, my oldest daughter is redhead, even my dog is a redhead!

As for my other two children: as they read this piece, they should not feel slighted or left out in any way at all.

For my youngest daughter, her hair has always been a wonderful and glorious mixture of just about every color, including a little red here and there. Her grace and power is an entirely different story, one just as glorious and fascinating as this one.

And as for my son: although his story is equally as fascinating and intriguing, it is definitely not that of a redheaded male. This of course is just as well; for any story that involves a redheaded male is definitely a different kind of story altogether, one that I can promise you he would be glad not to be a part of.

So North Koreans beware. Kim Jong Un – you’d best just head home and take care of your own, for the redheads are in town and they are a force to be reckoned with.

My Thanks to Disney for all the great Red Heads…
