Politics

Here We Go…

And so it begins…

What more than half of the country feared, and most of the politicians, as well as ALL of the pollsters felt could NEVER happen:

Donald J. Trump is officially the President Elect of the United States.

…You will notice that I did not say President… Only President Elect: This is because he still has to get past this Lawsuit that is supposed to take place next month filed by a woman who claims he raped her when she was 13 years old over 20 years ago.

See related article here:

Trump Lawsuit – {Article no longer available}

However, in this above article, dated the 4th of this month, she is noted as “Once again dropping the lawsuit…”

…So who knows WHAT’S going to happen.

In this case, and for the record: Everyone, even Trump, is innocent until proven guilty and is allowed a FAIR trial before the “Axe Drops” Soto speak. AND, this would not be the first time that a person has taken advantage of a situation to try and mess up a person’s future and wellbeing.

HOWEVER…

I have watched enough docudrama’s and news shows to know that a woman in her position really does have to fear for her life; every extreme nut case (as well as some people in Trump’s corner and the in the Republican party…) will try and stop her at any cost to assure that the wheels keep rolling.

So I tend to lean in favor of the alleged victim, in this case, until it is proven one way or the other.

Having said this…

I am shocked by the outcome of this election. Not necessarily because he won, but because of how it was pulled off and reported. Every Pollster on every channel was predicting that Hillary was a shoe in for the White House, only to see a complete turnaround less than 6 hours later –Big Time!

And…

With only 31 Electoral votes left to be cast, I want to know how HE can win when HE won the Electoral vote and NOT the popular vote.

Following the popular vote, Hillary won by over 200,000 votes… How does this happen!

This leads me to believe that the political system is NOT concerned about US: The People, because clearly, the People wanted Hillary.

(Actually, I think that in this case, the one who won the popular vote should be President, and the one who won the Electoral vote should be the Vice-President… Make them work together for 4 years and see who survives!)

To be realistic, because I know that will never happen, I really think that when the popular vote is split, the electoral votes should be case accordingly –some for one and some for the other. Following this plan, Hillary would have won.

I am also ashamed that this country was ready for an “African American” president but not a woman president. Despite her political “Issues”, I believe this was the real reason for her loss. As a BIG fan of strong women, I am appalled at this outcome.

In the beginning, I too was ready or a change. I too felt that the political system was in need of a shakeup. I was ready to vote for Trump if he made it.

But then…  He became the center of attention again and opened his mouth… That was enough: I jumped the fence. I was ready to vote for Mickey Mouse, until someone told me not to waste my vote, so I went blue.

And, thanks to me, Illinois went to the Democrats… Yea me!

And I did not change because Trump has no military experience or because he has never served in the Government. I jumped because he is a jerk and a nut and is just a bit reckless.

And although I still think that this country needs a shakeup, I’m not sure that we will survive with his finger on the button.

Actually, I think his biggest challenges will be living in a smaller house, and taking a huge cut in salary.

And besides…

Trump, minus the T spells… Well, you figure it out!
