Stupid is as stupid does…

I have been riding for over 25 years. It’s hard enough being a responsible rider to survive out there with all the stupid people thinking they own the road. It is compounded when the “Stupid people” are on the bikes.

Bottom line:

You can see the video; you can see that the biker backed into his car. At that point, there is not much a driver can do except avoid as best as he can. Although it is a bit farther away, you can also see that the driver stopped. This too was as responsible as possible in an effort to make sure no further harm was done.

Then, when the “Less than intelligent” riders started assaulting his car, father-hood and responsible husband mode kicks in and all bets are off.

I have been in a similar situation as this; not with bikers, but another car. When the threat is obvious and the outcome is unsure, escape is all that matters for the safety of your family.

The bikers could have had there fun and stayed clear of other vehicles; they could have raced through the streets and just endangered themselves. However, when the “Pack” mentality takes over combined with being filmed it’s the same as leaving your brains at home for the day.

Look at it this way:

The bikers started it. The bikers pushed it. When you consider a frantic father/husband -with no idea what the outcome to his family would be- at the wheel of a rather large SUV… He may not have had a gun, but he did have a valid threat and an SUV. He could have simply slammed on the breaks, turned it around, and run over them all.

I think the bikers should consider themselves lucky.

Even the guy with the broken legs just trying to help: guilt by association!

As a rider, knowing what kind of riding would be going on… I would have stayed home.

“Girly-Man”, you say!

Alive, not going to jail, no broken body parts I say!
